About Ozdere
Ozdere is a seaside resort at the southern end of Menderes district, between Gumuldur and Kusadasi. Along its indented shore, where pine-covered hills drop to the sea, small coves form clearer, rockier beaches than the flat sands of Gumuldur. The seafront promenade in the centre, the olive groves beside the road from Cumaovasi and the small pier on the shore are its best-known spots. Ancient Notion and Klaros lie to the north near Ahmetbeyli.
Accommodation is mostly in all-inclusive resort hotels built in the coves and villas and apartments in seaside complexes. Families wanting a full-board holiday in a resort near the airport, couples looking to swim in a quiet cove and overseas guests planning a day trip to Ephesus are typical visitors. Gumuldur is 15 minutes away, Kusadasi 40 minutes and Selcuk and Ephesus 35 minutes.
From the airport the route heads south via Menderes, passes Degirmendere and Gumuldur and follows the coast road, about 50 km / 50 minutes. After Gumuldur the road winds along the coves at low speed; passengers prone to car sickness may prefer the front seat. Resort hotels are reached at the lobby entrance, and complexes in the coves at their main gate. A minibus suits large families. Gumuldur and Ahmetbeyli lie on the way.
