About Bogazkent
Bogazkent is a small coastal town in the Serik district, about 8 km east of Belek. It takes its name from the channel where the Acisu and Koprucay rivers reach the sea; the beach is wide, fine-sanded and far less crowded than Belek. The village itself is only a few streets, surrounded by farmland and reed beds; the river mouth is known for birdwatching. The entrance to the Koprulu Canyon rafting routes lies to the north, and the Aspendos theatre is 15 minutes away.
Accommodation is a handful of large all-inclusive resorts plus small hotels and guesthouses in the village. It suits families and couples who want a quiet beach away from the crowds, and anyone planning rafting or nature walks. Belek's golf courses and bazaar are 10 minutes away, the ancient city of Side half an hour. Restaurants and shops in the village are limited; those looking for evening life head to Belek.
From Antalya Airport, the route to Bogazkent follows the D400 past the Belek turn-off and continues towards Serik, about 40 km / 45 minutes; the last few kilometres are a single-lane village road through fields. Hotels are reached door to door. As the Bogazkent resorts often host large family groups, a minibus-class vehicle is frequently chosen. Kadriye and Belek lie along the way, with Colakli and Side further east.
