About Davutlar
Davutlar is a small resort about 12 km south of Kusadasi town, where the slopes of Mount Samsun (Mykale) fall to the plain. In contrast to busy central Kusadasi it is more residential and calm; the long Davutlar beach, the hot springs and spas in the village, the Friday market and the summer complexes along the shore are its main features. To the south-east the Dilek Peninsula National Park and the ancient city of Priene are a short drive away.
Accommodation is mostly in villas and flats inside summer complexes, family hotels along the beach and thermal facilities. Families on long summer stays, retirees looking for spa treatments, guests wanting to be near Kusadasi’s nightlife but not in it, and those keeping an eye on their budget choose Davutlar. Central Kusadasi is 15 minutes away, Guzelcamli 10 minutes, and Priene and Soke 30 minutes.
From the airport the Izmir–Aydin motorway leads to Selcuk, then the Kusadasi bypass continues towards Soke; from the Davutlar junction the village is reached in about 88 km / 85 minutes. The road is mostly flat dual carriageway; the Kusadasi bypass can slow down on summer evenings. Complexes and hotels are reached door to door, and having the block and flat number ready helps at complex gates. A minibus is recommended for families with luggage for a long stay. Kusadasi and Guzelcamli lie on the same route.
