About Kabak
Kabak, south of Faralya, is a small bay opening to the sea between two mountain slopes. The beach is reached from the village above either by a steep path of about 20–30 minutes or in the camps' own service vehicles. Building in the bay is sparse; wooden bungalows, tent pitches and a few small places are scattered among the trees. The Lycian Way passes above the bay and continues towards Alinca.
Accommodation is bungalow camps and small nature lodges; there is no luxury hotel, no proper shop, no cash machine and no nightlife, and phone signal can be weak. Swimming, walking, yoga and sitting round the fire in the evening set the rhythm of the day. Young travellers, walkers and couples after simplicity come here; the path and steps are hard going for families with babies. Many places run on half board.
Flat as far as Fethiye, then after Oludeniz a narrow, winding and steep mountain road via Faralya; about 78 km / 95 minutes in total. The car goes as far as the village above the bay; the descent to the camps is by the camp's own vehicle or on foot, so confirm this last step with your accommodation when booking. Keep luggage light. Night arrivals are slower on this road. Faralya is 10 minutes away and Oludeniz 30.
