About Oludeniz
Oludeniz is a beach resort at the foot of Babadag, built around Belcekiz beach and the lagoon. The Blue Lagoon is a nature park with a small entrance fee and no building allowed; its shallow, calm water suits families with children. Paragliders launched from Babadag land on the beachfront all day long, and a cable car now takes visitors up to the summit as well.
Accommodation is mid-sized hotels and apartments behind Belcekiz beach, with villas stretching up towards Ovacik. Boats leave the beach for Butterfly Valley and the nearby coves, and the Lycian Way walking route starts here. Families and couples both come, and the area is popular with walkers and paragliding enthusiasts. The main beach is crowded in high summer.
The road from the airport is flat as far as Fethiye; after that it climbs through Hisaronu and winds down the hillside to the coast. In total about 62 km / 65 minutes. The seafront road is slow on summer evenings; the car goes right to the hotel door. A minibus is recommended for families with a lot of luggage and for groups of more than 4. Hisaronu, Ovacik and Kayakoy are 10–15 minutes away.
