About Kizilagac
Kizilagac is a coastal village in the Manavgat district east of the Manavgat River, about 15 km from Side. The coastline is flat and long; behind the fine-sanded beach running eastwards from the river mouth lie farmland and greenhouses. The village centre is north of the D400 highway, while the resorts on the shore occupy large grounds reached by separate roads running down from the highway. Ancient Side, Manavgat Waterfall and the Green Canyon boat trip at Oymapinar are the nearest excursions.
Accommodation is almost entirely large all-inclusive resorts; most hotels have their own aquapark, sports facilities and beach, so guests rarely need to leave. Kizilagac suits families and groups who want a spacious hotel away from the crowds of Side; there is little in the village for those wanting to go out. Side is 20 to 25 minutes by dolmus, central Manavgat 15 minutes and Alanya 45 minutes to the east.
From Antalya Airport to Kizilagac is about 89 km / 85 minutes along the D400, including the passage through the town of Manavgat, where the junctions can slow traffic. Hotels are reached door to door, and the resort access roads are wide. A minibus-class vehicle is recommended for large families and groups. Side and Manavgat lie along the way, with Kizilot and Okurcalar further east; Gazipasa-Alanya Airport is roughly the same journey time.
