About Kizilot
Kizilot is a coastal village at the eastern edge of the Manavgat district, about 22 km from Side and 40 km from Alanya, roughly midway between Antalya and Gazipasa airports. The coastline is long, the beach wide and less crowded than the neighbouring resorts; behind it stretch banana greenhouses and citrus groves. To the east, on the Okurcalar boundary, the Alara river, the Seljuk-era Alarahan caravanserai and Alara Castle on its hill are the nearest historic sites; ancient Side and Manavgat Waterfall are within half an hour to the west.
Accommodation is in large all-inclusive resorts plus a few small hotels and apartments in the village. It suits families who want a long beach away from the crowds, groups who will spend their holiday at the hotel, and anyone wanting to see both Side and Alanya in one trip. The village centre is small; for shopping and the market Manavgat is 25 minutes away, while Alanya Castle and Cleopatra Beach are 45 minutes. The nearest nightlife is on the Alanya side.
From Gazipasa-Alanya Airport to Kizilot is about 94 km / 90 minutes along the D400, including the passage through Alanya; from Antalya Airport it is 97 km and almost the same time, so either airport can be chosen depending on your flight. Hotels are reached door to door, with resort entrances close to the highway. A minibus-class vehicle is recommended for large groups. Towards Antalya the route passes Kizilagac, Manavgat and Side; towards Alanya, Okurcalar, Incekum and Avsallar.
