About Avsallar
Avsallar is a coastal town 25 km west of Alanya centre, where the pine forest comes down close to the sea. Besides the beach that bears the town's name, its best-known spots are Incekum beach at the western end, famous for its fine sand, and the pine-wood picnic area behind it. The centre along the D-400 highway has a market square, shops and restaurants; the Friday market fills with guests from the surrounding hotels. As the sea is shallow and sandy, it is convenient for families with children.
Accommodation is mainly all-inclusive resorts and medium-sized hotels; there are also apartments and rental flats in the centre. It suits families staying in hotels, couples who want a calm beach and long-stay visitors looking for a relaxed town. Alarahan, the Alara River, Alanya Castle and the ancient city of Side can all be visited on day trips; the minibus to Alanya centre takes 40 minutes.
From Gazipasa-Alanya airport the coast road through Alanya centre and Konakli is about 73 km / 70 minutes; from Antalya airport it is 100 km / around 95 minutes on the D-400, and most guests arrive from the Antalya side. The road is flat and of motorway standard, slowing only when passing through Alanya centre and at Manavgat on summer evenings. Most hotels lie between the highway and the sea, so you are taken door to door. Incekum is 3 km away, Turkler 9 km and Okurcalar 7 km.
