About Incekum
Incekum, whose Turkish name literally means fine sand, is a small resort 27 km west of Alanya, between Avsallar and Okurcalar, known for exactly that beach. The sea stays shallow for tens of metres from the shore, which makes it the most child-friendly stretch of the Alanya coast; pine forest and picnic areas lie directly behind the beach. There is no separate town centre; for supermarkets, restaurants and the market, guests use neighbouring Avsallar. The small coves and rocky headlands along the shore can be explored on foot.
Accommodation consists of all-inclusive resorts lined up along the beach and a few small hotels; apartments and villas are very rare. It suits families with young children, guests who want shallow and calm water and those who prefer to stay within the hotel; nightlife is not what people come for. The Alarahan caravanserai, rafting on the Alara River, Alanya Castle and the ancient city of Side are all within day-trip distance.
From Gazipasa-Alanya airport the coast road through Alanya centre and Konakli is about 70 km / 70 minutes; from Antalya airport it is 103 km / around 100 minutes on the D-400, and as the area is relatively close to Antalya most guests arrive from that side. The road is flat and wide; only the passages through Manavgat and Alanya get busy on summer evenings. Hotels lie between the beach and the highway, so you are taken door to door. Avsallar is 3 km away, Okurcalar 5 km and Turkler 12 km.
